Man Taken into Custody in Connection with Firearm Seizure in Kingston
Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: The Half-Way-Tree Police took one man into custody in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm, in Kingson on Thursday, January 24.
The name of the accused is being withheld pending further investigations.
Reports by the police are that about 5:30 p.m., on Thursday, a team of officers carried out an operation along a section of Old Hope Road, in Kingston 16.
During the search of a premises which is occupied by the accused, the lawmen seized a Browning 9-mm semi-automatic pistol, loaded with 14 live rounds.
The accused is booked to be charged early next week.
