Man Shot to Death While Travelling on Mini Bus

St. James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Man Shot to Death While Travelling on Mini Bus: The Freeport police in St James are now investigating the motives surrounding the shooting death of a man, while he was travelling on a mini bus in the parish on Wednesday morning,  August 23, 2017.

The victim has, so far, been identified as Junior Gordon of an Amity Hall address.

Reports are that shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Gordon was travelling in a Grey Toyota Noah Mini bus from Amity Hall to Montego Bay. On reaching a section of the roadway a Nissan Tida motor car with three men on board blocked their path. The men alighted from the vehicle armed with high powered weapons. They then walked over to the mini bus and opened the side door and proceeded to fire several shots at the victim who was sitting in the rear seat.

Gordon received over ten shots to his upper body and the gunmen then left the scene in the waiting motorcar. The police were called and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police are continuing their investigations into the incident.
