Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: Detectives attached to the Central Village Police Department in St. Catherine, say they are now carrying out investigations surrounding the shooting death of a man in the area, on Wednesday night, January 23.

Dead is 24-year-old Mario Comrie, unemployed of Lewis Street in Windsor Heights, St Catherine.

Reports by the Central Village Police are that about7:15 p.m., Comrie and other family members were at their home in Lewis Street, when five men armed with guns, forced their way through the front door of the house.

The gunmen opened fire hitting Comrie multiple times, before escaping in the area on foot.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the wounded man was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
