Latest Jamaica News, Clarendon: A gun battle which took place in Canaan Heights, Clarendon on Monday afternoon, January 27, resulted in a death of a man and two other people nursing gunshot wounds.
The dead man has been identified by his alias, “Pops”. McKoy’s News understands that he’s reportedly related to a People’s National Party councillor in the central Jamaica parish which is now under a state of emergency.
According to police reports, about 3.20 p.m., residents reported hearing several explosions and summoned the police.
When the lawmen arrived at the scene, three persons were found suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospital where “Pops” was pronounced dead and the other two admitted in serious but stable condition.
The police are investigating.
