Kingston: Man Shot Dead, Two injured Including 12-year-old Boy

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: One man was shot and killed, while another man and a 12-year-old boy were injured during a drive-by shooting, which occurred in Westmain Drive in Kingston 20, on Thursday February 21.

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Omar Williams otherwise called “Gavin” laborer of Daytona in St Catherine.

Reports by the Hunts Bay police are that about 6:30 p.m., on Thursday, Williams and the other man along with the 12-year-old boy were standing along a section of Westmain drive when a motor car drove up with several men on board.

The motor car came to a stop, two of the men jumped out, brandished handguns and opened fire hitting all three.

The gunmen then sped away in the waiting motor car.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, Williams and the other two victims were rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  The teenage boy and the other man were treated and admitted in serious condition.
