Jamaica Crime News, The Mount Salem police in Montego Bay, St James are now carrying out investigation surrounding the shooting and wounding of a man in the community of Farm Height on Wednesday night of May 23rd.

The identity of the wounded victim is been withheld pending further investigation.

Reports by the police are that about 10:15 pmon Wednesday the 35-year-old victim was standing in his yard when he was ambushed by a lone gunman.

The gunman opened fire hitting the victim to the rejoins of his chest.  The wounded man managed to get away from the yard and the gunman fled the scene.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was treated and admitted.
