Man Shot and Killed in White House Westmoreland

Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: The White House police in the parish of Westmoreland are now carrying out an investigation, surrounding the shooting death of a man in the community on Tuesday morning, August 28.

He has been identified as Jerome Carey,  31-year-old laborer of South Beach in White House.

Reports by the police are that about 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday,  Carey was at home in bed when he heard strange sounds coming from outside.

Minutes later,  a group of men armed with handguns kicked open the front door to the house and opened fire hitting Carey to his upper body.

The police were summoned and upon arrival,  Carey was discovered suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the Savanna-la-mar hospital where he was pronounced dead.
