Latest Jamaica News, St James (McKoy’s News): One man was fatally shot, and another man shot and injured in separate incidents, in Paisley district in St James, on Thursday morning, November 7.

The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Jommoy Pinnock, a farmer also of Paisley district, while the injured man, a 35-year-old maintenance man is presently at hospital in serious but stable condition.

Reports by the Adelphi police are that about 4:30 a.m., Pinnock and his common-law wife were asleep in their board and concrete structured house, when they were awakened by knocking on the door, and men on the outside identifying themselves as police officers.

Pinnock was in the process of getting up out of bed when the door was kicked open by men wearing masks, and armed with high-powered weapons.

The gunmen held the couple at gunpoint and ordered the female to lay face down on the floor, while they sprayed Pinnock with bullets, killing him on the spot. The men later left the house after robbing the female of several cell phones and other items.

Some time later, the 35-year-old maintenance man was driving along the Paisley main road when he was fired upon by a group of armed men, believed to be the same group of police impersonators who committed the murder several minutes earlier.

The victim managed to drive from the location to the Falmouth hospital, where he was treated and admitted in serious but stable condition.
