Jamaica Crime News, Montego Bay: A large team of military and police personnel are presently still gathered at the intersection of Light body Avenue and Barnett Street, in Montego Bay, St James, where a man who is said to be a security guard, was shot and killed by a group of gunmen on Monday morning, January 21.
So far the police have not yet released the name of the victim.
Reports are that about 9:30 a.m., the victim was driving a white station wagon Nissan AD wagon motor car, from the directions of Clock towards the Montego Bay Transport Center.
On reaching the vicinity of the Salvation Army building on Barnett Street, a group of armed men traveling in a Toyota Corolla motor car pulled up beside him and started shooting on his vehicle.
The security guard sped off in the directions of downtown Montego Bay, and upon reaching the vicinity of the Thrifty Service Station, the gunmen caught up with him, and shot him multiple times.
His vehicle then collided into a Noah bus and the wounded man died on the spot.
The police are presently processing the scene.
