Man Shot and Killed in John’s Hall, St James

Jamaica Crime News, St James: A man was shot and killed by unknown assailants in the community of John’s Hall in St James on Wednesday night of May 9.

He has been identified as 31-year-old Falco Crooks of Village, also in John’s Hall.

Reports by the Spring Mount police are that, shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, residents living at a section of the John’s Hall community known as Village, alerted the police after hearing a barrage of gunshots being fired in the area.

The police traveled to the area and upon arrival, they learnt that Crooks was among a group of men at a shop in the area when he was ambushed by two armed men.

The men opened fire hitting Crooks all over his body before making their escape on foot in the area.

The police discovered the victim lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds all over his upper body.

The Scene was processed and the wounded man transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
