Jamaica Crime News: Man Shot and Injured in Hopewell Hanover – One man was shot and seriously injured by unknown assailants in Hopewell square, in Hanover on Monday night, February 11.

The identity of the wounded man is being withheld by the police.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 8:30 p.m., the victim was walking along a track which leads to his home in Hopewell square, when he was ambushed by armed men.

The gunmen opened fire hitting the victim multiple times to his upper body, but the wounded man managed to run and collapsed a few chains away in the square.

The police were summoned, and the wounded man was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was admitted in critical condition.

The Sandy Bay police are presently carrying out an investigation at the scene.
