Man Shot and Injured in Flankers, St James

Latest Jamaica News, St James: A 32-year-old labourer of New Road in Flankers, St James, was admitted to hospital in serious condition, after he was shot and injured by a lone gunman at his home on Tuesday night, August 6.

Reports are that about 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the victim was at home with other family members when he carried his child upstairs to her mother.

While on his way back downstairs, he came face to face with a man who was standing beside his step with a gun in his hand.

He turned and ran back up inside the verandah and closed the grill behind him, but the gunman fired several shots at him hitting him multiple times to his upper body.

The police were called and upon reaching the victim’s home, they transported him to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was treated and admitted in serious condition.
