One man has been admitted to hospital in critical condition following an incident where he was shot and injured in Copperwood, St James on Thursday morning, March 23.
Reports are that about 10:30am, the victim was among a group of persons in Copperwood community when he was ambushed by armed men, and shot in the regions of his chest.
The wounded man assisted to hospital by residents in the community, who later summoned the police.
The lawmen traveled to the location and proceeded the scene.
