Jamaica News, January 17, 2018

St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Man Shot in Albion: The Barnett Street police have now commenced an investigation into the shooting and wounding of a man at  Albion in Montego Bay, St James on Tuesday night.

The police report that the 41-year-old male who has since been admitted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in serious condition had just driven home in his yard about 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16.  The victim alighted from the vehicle and was in the process of closing his gate when a group of men armed with handguns ambushed him and opened fire on him.

Despite being shot the victim managed to run from the scene. He was assisted to the hospital where he was admitted.

Meanwhile, investigators stated that they are now very concern about the amount of shooting incidents which have been taking place at Albion over recent weeks.

Since the start of the year, St James recorded the first murder in the same area.
