Man Sentenced to 7-Years for Stabbing Elderly Man to Death

Jamaica Crime News, Trelawny: One man was sentenced to serve 7-years in prison, at hard labour for stabbing an elderly man to death, in Trelawny.

Evan Williams of Sherwood Content district, was sentenced for stabbing Basil Sinclair, an 80-year-old farmer to death in his community, on April 24, 2016.

Reports are that Williams and the elderly farmer got involved in an argument at a shop in his community, when he used a knife and stabbed him to his upper body.

Sinclair was rushed to the Falmouth hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Upon his appearance in court, Williams pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to serve 7-years.
