Jamaica Crime News: The Mount Salem police in Montego Bay St James are now carrying out investigation surrounding the shooting death of a man in the community on Sunday morning of July 15th.

The dead man has been identified as Kemar Bent otherwise called  “Man Rat ” 22 year old,  unemployed of a Green Pond address.

Reports by the Mount Salem police are that, about 2:30 am on Sunday, residents living along the border of Cornwall Courts and Green Pond known as John Crow Hotel alerted them after hearing several gunshots being fired in the area.

The police drove to the area and upon arrival they came upon Bent’s body which was lying along the road in a pool of blood. The victim also had multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Bent was transported to the Cornwall Regional hospital where he was pronounced dead.
