Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: A man was shot and killed by gunmen in Chester Castle community on Thursday night, October 11.

The deceased has been identified as Orette Leslie, otherwise called “Tampa” 31-year-old unemployed of Chester Castle.

Reports by the Ramble Police are that about 9:00 p.m. on Thursday,  Leslie was among a group of men outside a shop, which is located in the vicinity of the Chester Castle playing field.

Minutes later, a motor car drove to the location and one man armed with a handgun alighted from the vehicle.

The gunman opened fire hitting Leslie multiple times to his upper body, before escaping in the same vehicle.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, Leslie was transported to the Noel Holmes Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Hanover police related that Leslie was a known violence producer who was shot and injured by gunmen three weeks ago.

According to the police, just a few days ago, Leslie was picked up by the police on a premises which is owned by a popular Justice of the Peace in Chester Castle community,  on suspicion of shooting. He was later released.
