Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: One man was shot and killed by unknown assailants at his home in Bethel Town, Westmoreland, on Saturday, June 1.
He has been identified as 35-year-old Zicko Meirs, laborer of Castle Mountain, also in Bethel Town.
Reports by the Bethel Town police are that about 6:30 p.m., residents in the community summoned the police after hearing explosions in the area.
The lawmen drove to the location and discovered Meirs lying in his yard, in a pool of blood, with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
The body was taken to hospital, where Meirs was pronounced dead.
