One man was taken into custody following the seizure of a firearm in Guava Ridge, Mavis Bank in St. Andrew on Tuesday, June 9.
Reports from the Gordon Town Police are that about 12:50 p.m., lawmen were in the area when they saw a man sitting in a shop; the Police observed the man trying to remove a knapsack from his back. He was accosted, searched and one disassembled 9mm pistol was found in the bag.
He was subsequently arrested; however, his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
