Latest Jamaica News, Westmoreland (McKoy’s News): Man Held with Illegal Gun – One man was arrested and charged in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition, in Savanna-la-mar, Westmoreland, on Friday, October 4.
He is 30-year-old Yovan McGrowder, otherwise called “Tom” a labourer of Smithfield also in Westmoreland.
Lindon Campbell Shot to Death at a Westmoreland Party
Reports by the police are that about 9:00 p.m. on Friday, officers were on patrol along a section of Smithfield, when they saw McGrowder acting in a suspicious manner.
He was accosted, searched, and found to be carrying a Taurus 9mm pistol fitted with a magazine containing ten live 9mm cartridges.
