Man Held in Connection with Illegal Gun Seizure, in Mona Common

Jamaica Crime News, St Andrew: The August Town police say they have taken one man into custody in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm, and several rounds of ammunition, at Mona Common, in Papine, St Andrew, on Tuesday, June 18.

The name of the accused is being withheld, pending further investigations.

Reports by the police are that about 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, an operation was carried out at a house in Mona Common, where the accused was seen.

A search of the house yield in the discovery of a Ruger pistol, fitted with a magazine containing 7-live rounds.
