Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Man Facing Larceny Charge: Arrangements are presently being made for Julio Mullings, who is facing a larceny charge, to be placed on the rehabilitation programme at Teen Challenge.
The court’s decision is a result of wanting to assist the accused man with his alcohol abuse problem.
An application is presently being made to Teen Challenge and once Mullings is accepted on the programme, the court will send him directly to the facility.
Mullings appeared before the St. James Parish Court on Tuesday, July 11 to face a charge of simple larceny.
The charge arose after he visited a prominent Montego Bay Supermarket and stole a bottle of Vodka.
It is alleged that on June 15, 2017 about 5:05 pm, an employee at the supermarket was shown a security footage where the accused man was seen placing a bottle of liquor in the front of his pants.
Mullings allegedly went back to the store and the same worker recognized him from the footage. As a result, she had Mullings under observation and soon after he was seen placing a bottle of Vodka in the front of his pants.
He was stopped while trying to exit the building. The police were alerted and he was later arrested and charged.
