Man Charged with Murder of Dexter Pottinger Pleads Guilty

Jamaica Crime News, St Andrew: Romario Brown, the St. Andrew murder accused, who was arrested and charged for the murder of popular fashion designer, Dexter Pottinger, pleaded guilty when he appeared before the St. Andrew Parish Court, on Wednesday, April 10.

Brown who is being represented by attorney Donald Bryan, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of manslaughter, larceny from a dwelling, and simple larceny, upon his appearance in court.

During the hearing, the court was informed that the accused stole Pottinger’s Honda CRV motor vehicle, along with the victims watch and a television set from the premises.

Pottinger’s decomposed body was found with multiple stab wounds at his home, at Yarico Place, St Andrew, on August 31.2018.

Brown who is to return to court for sentencing, was reportedly out on bail for another murder incident, when he was arrested in connection with Pottinger’s death.
