Jamaica Crime News, St Andrew: The police say criminal charges have now been laid against a man in connection with the murder of St Andrew businessman, Brandon Murray.
The accused has been identified as Christopher Chambers, 27-year-old laborer of a Waltham Park address and he has been charged with Conspiracy to the murder of John Brandon Murray on June 10, 2018.
47-year-old John Brandon Murray of Clarendon Park in Clarendon played a great role within the football fraternity. He along with former National Reggae Boy player Christopher Dawes started the Sporting Central Football Club in the year 2000.
He is also known for his craftsmanship at professional landscaping and also played a great role in the family Fishery business and also the managed their popular Jerk Centre in the parish.
Reports by the police are that shortly after 4:50 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, Murray was conducting business in the vicinity of the Mayfair Hotel, which is located along West Kings House Close, when he was attacked and shot by unknown assailants.
The police were summoned and upon arrival , they discovered Murray lying in a pool of blood, with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
