Man Charged for Illegal Firearm Following Dispute at Transport Centre

Latest Jamaica News, Westmoreland (Mckoy’s News): A dispute between two men at the Negril Transport Centre on Thursday, August 22, has resulted in the seizure of an illegal firearm, and one of the men being arrested and charged.

Reports by the Negril police are that residents called them to the park, after one man was seen threatening another with an illegal firearm.

Illegal Firearm Seized in Portmore

Upon reaching the park, both men were still at the location, and a report was made to the police by one of the men.

A search of the surroundings led to the discovery of a parabellum 9mm pistol, along with a magazine containing five 9mm rounds.

The accused was taken into custody.
