Officers attached to the St. James Division have arrested and charged a man with Illegal Possession of Firearm and Discharging a Firearm within 40 Yards of a Public Place following an incident in Caanan district, Adelphi, St James on Saturday, March 21, 2020.

The man has been identified as 21-year-old Luke Campbell, a mason of Adelphi district, St. James.

Reports are that about 11:00 a.m., Campbell and 17-year-old his ex-girlfriend had a dispute, during which he allegedly brandished a firearm and fired shots in the air. It is alleged that subsequently, Campbell sent death threats to the teen, following which a report was made to the police. He was picked up at home on Monday, August 02, and charged.

His court date is to be finalised.
