St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Man Burst Ex-Girlfriend Head Faces Trial: A St. James man accused of bursting his ex-girlfriend’s head and damaging her friend’s shop, is on his way to trial.
Jermaine McNaughton, who hails from Barrett Town, St. James, appeared in the St. James Parish Court on Thursday to face charges of unlawful wounding and malicious destruction of property.
Particulars of the allegations were not outlined in details but, it is alleged that the couple were engaged in a dispute; during which McNaughton used a stone to burst the woman’s head open, then damaged a shop belonging to the woman’s friend.
During Thursday’s proceedings, presiding judge Sandria Wong-Small made it clear to the court that she would be setting a trial date on the next court date and added that the Crown would have to proceed with what they have.
A further mention date was set for August 3 and McNaughton’s bail was extended.
