Man Being Sought in Connection with Murder of Mentally Challenged Man in Hanover

Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: The Lucea police in the parish of Hanover say they have now identified a prime suspect in connection with the shooting death of a mentally challenged man in Lucea, Hanover, on Wednesday morning of June 27th.

The investigators further stated that, they cannot release the identity of the man being sought at this time, but he is now wanted in connection with the murder of Douglas Williams, 62-year-old unemployed of Brissett District in Lucea, Hanover.

The police have reported that shortly after 12:25 a.m. on Wednesday, residents living in Brissett community raised an alarm after hearing gunshots being fired in the area.

About 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, they were again summoned after residents stumbled upon Williams’ body which was seen lying along a footpath in the area in a pool of blood.

The lawmen rushed to the area and it was discovered that the victim had multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

The body was later removed and pronounced dead at the Noel Holmes hospital in Lucea.
