MAN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH ILLEGAL FIREARM SEIZURE IN KINGSTON

The police in Kingston have now taken one man into custody in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm in the parish on Wednesday afternoon of May 23rd.
The investigators say they cannot release the name of the accused pending further investigations.
Reports are that, between the hours of 7:00 am and 9:30 am, the police carried out an operation at premises, located at Mona Common in Kingston 7.
During the operation, a house was searched and the illegal weapon, an AK-47 rifle with no rounds was discovered. The accused who was at the premises was taken into custody and arrested.
