Man Arrested for Chopping Death of Other Man in St Elizabeth

Jamaica Crime News, St Elizabeth: The Black River police are now reporting that one man has been taken into custody, in connection with the chopping death of a farmer in the parish on Sunday,  August 12.

The deceased has been identified as, Ike Allen, 22-year-old farmer of Barton district also in St Elizabeth.

Reports by the police are that about 10:00 p.m. on Sunday,  Allen and the other man were involved in a dispute in their community.

The accused reportedly used a machete to inflict several chop wounds to Allen’s upper body.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Following the incident, an investigation was carried out and the accused man taken into custody.
