Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: The Glengoffe police in St. Catherine have reported that one man has now been taken into custody in connection with the chopping death of another man in the parish on Sunday.
The name of the accused is being withheld until he has been fully charged.
The accused was taken into custody in connection with the chopping death of Marlon Robinson, a 32-year-old laborer. A man and woman were also chopped and wounded during the incident which occurred in August Town, Glengoffe, St Catherine on Sunday, August 12.
Reports by the Glengoffe police are that about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, the female was at her home in August Town when an argument developed between her and another man.
The man used a knife to inflict a stab wound to the female who she ran from the yard and sought refuge inside Robinson’s house.

The man chased the woman inside Robinson’s house and an argument developed between both men. The accused who was armed with a machete attacked Robinson and inflicted several stab wounds to his upper body.
Another male neighbor rushed to assist Robinson and the accused also turned on him and chopped him.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, all three wounded persons were rushed to hospital , where Robinson was pronounced dead and the other two victims admitted.
