Man Arrested in Canadian Couple Murder Gets Top Legal Aid Lawyer

Jamaican News, February 9, 2018, Fabian Skervin Arrested in Murder of Canadian Couple

St Thomas, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – The Ministry of Justice states that Senior Legal Aid Attorney, Anthony Williams will represent the accused, Fabian Skervin, in the murder case of the elderly St Thomas Canadian couple, when the case comes up for mention in the St Thomas Parish Court on Monday, March 12.

Elderly couple, Jamaican native Canadian citizens, Melbourne Flake, 81 and Etta Flake, 70-year-old were found killed on January 9, 2017.

The police report that at about 10:30 a.m., the husband and wife were found motionless in their St Thomas vacation home with injuries to their bodies, and their hands and feet bound.

The report further state that the Canadian couple were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.

According to police, there were no signs of forced entry to the home at the time of their killing.

Fabian Skervin, 25-year-old is remanded until his next court date, Monday, March 12.
