Man Arrested and Charged for Illegal Firearm in Denham Town

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: One man was arrested and charged in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition, in Denham Town, Kingston, on Wednesday morning, May 22.

The accused has been identified as 42-year-old Everton Creary, of Fourth Street, also in the parish.

Creary has since been charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

Reports are that about 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday, a team of officers carried out an operation along Third Street, in Kingston, when Creary was searched.

He was found to be carrying an Arcus 9mm semi-automatic pistol, fitted with a magazine containing thirteen live rounds.

He was taken into custody and subsequently charged.
