Over 1,193.2 kilograms of cocaine valued at approximately US$35 million was handed over to the Narcotics Police following an anti-narcotics operation by the Jamaica Defence Coast Guard about 60 miles southeast of Morant Point in St. Thomas on Tuesday, July 30.

Reports are that about 5:45 a.m., the security forces removed fifty bales containing 998 parcels of a white substance resembling cocaine. No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.

The Narcotics Police are investigating.
