Lottery Scammers Arrested in St Ann

The St Ann Police say they have arrested seven persons who they believe have been major players in the infamous lottery scam.

The accused lottery scammers were arrested during an operation carried out in Hartlands Estate, Priory in St Ann, on Thursday, February 10.

The police say this latest operation was conducted by a team comprising of members of the military and police personels from the St Ann Division, which includes the local operational support team, Criminal investigation Branch and the Proactive Investigation Unit.

During the operation several houses were searched which led to the seizure of cell phones, laptops, lead sheets containing the names, addresses and personal information of persons living overseas.

The seven suspects are to be interviewed and then charged.
