St. James, Jamaica ( McN) – Lilliput Man Murdered: Since the start of the year a total of 55 persons have been murdered in the parish of St James.
The latest incident has left one man is now dead and another at hospital in critical condition following a shooting incident in Lilliput, St James on Saturday morning, April 1, 2016.
The Lilliput man murdered is Ricardo Reynolds 31-year-old laborer of Africa district in Lilliput while, another 37-year-old man as since been admitted to Hospital.
Reports are that, shortly after 7:30 am on Saturday, both men were standing along the roadway in Africa when a blue Toyota Corolla motorcar drove up.
Three armed men alighted from the vehicle and brandished handguns. They then opened fire on both men hitting them to their upper bodies.
The gunmen escaped in the waiting motor car while residents in the area alerted the police.
Upon police arrival both men were rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where Reynolds was pronounced dead and the other man admitted in serious condition.
Since the start of the year a total of 55 persons have been murdered in the parish of St James. The police in the parish have since stepped up their patrols across the parish.
