Licensed Firearm Holder Kills Three Gunmen in Portmore

Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: Licensed Firearm Holder Kill Three Gunmen – Three gunmen were shot and killed by a licensed firearm holder during a hold-up attempt at his premises in Port Henderson, Portmore in St Catherine, on Wednesday night, March 13.

The police have reported that the three dead gunmen remain unidentified up to this morning.

Reports by the Portmore police are that about 9:25 p.m., the licensed firearm holder drove unto his premises at Port Henderson, and was ambushed by the gunmen who were lying in wait.

The gunmen opened fire hitting the licensed firearm holder, who then managed to return the fire killing all three robbers on the spot.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, all four persons were rushed to hospital, where the licensed firearm holder was treated and admitted in serious condition, and the three gunmen pronounced dead.

The police say they recovered a Berretta 9-mm semi-automatic pistol fitted with a magazine containing seventeen live 9mm rounds, from one of the dead men.
