Jamaica Crime News: The police in the parish of St Andrew have confirmed that criminal charges have now been laid against the licensed firearm holder who was taken into custody last weekend in connection with a shooting and wounding incident which occurred at a premises in Duhaney Park.
He has been identified as Ronnie Jagoo, 61 year old businessman also of Duhaney Park. Jagoo has been slapped with charges of shooting with intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
In the meanwhile, the other man who was shot and wounded by the licensed firearm holder is presently still at hospital in serious condition.
Reports are that, last Sunday afternoon July 8th, it is alleged that Jagoo and the victim got involved in an argument at the premises. It is further alleged that, Jagoo pulled a firearm which he used to shoot the other man.
The wounded man ran from the premises, jumped into his car and attempted to drive himself to hospital, but he lost consciousness and the vehicle crashed into a wall. The police were summoned and upon arrival the wounded man was transported to hospital where he was admitted in serious condition. Following an investigation, the licensed firearm holder was taken into custody for questioning and subsequently charged.
