United States of America (YahooSports)- LeSean McCoy Opens Up About National Anthem Protest: Sunday was an interesting day all over the NFL, as teams reacted to the President Donald Trump’s recent comments in a variety of ways. Several players took a knee, while other teams locked arms in an act of solidarity.
Buffalo Bills’ running back LeSean McCoy participated in the protest in his own manner, taking a knee before continuing to stretch during the national anthem.
Following Buffalo’s 26-16 win against the Denver Broncos, McCoy addressed the media and answered questions about his protest, and then did not answer any football-related questions.
The 29-year old stated, “I was bothered by the comments of our president. I can’t stand and support something when the leader of our country is acting like this.”
