Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: Our news team has been informed that three legal Aid Lawyers have now been assigned to represent the four boys, including a 15-year-old male student, who were taken into custody in connection with the stabbing death of another 16-year-old student in Bog Walk, St Catherine on Monday, May 14.
Three of the teens are being represented through the Legal Aid System by Attorneys-at-law Candene Clarke and Michael Hayes while the minor is been represented by another Attorney-at-law Saharee Smith.
The four accused went through the first Question and Answer Session on Thursday afternoon, May 17, in the presence of all three Attorneys.
Our news team also learnt that the boys are booked to appear in the Parish Court at a later date.
The four boys were taken into custody in connection with the stabbing death of Bog Walk High School Student, Kevaughn Barnes of Main Street in Bog Walk, St Catherine.
Another student who was also injured in the incident remains at hospital in serious but stable condition.
Reports by the police are that shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Monday, Barnes and the other student were walking home from school along the Bog Walk main road.
It is further reported that they were approached by the 15-year-old student and three other teenage boys who brandished knives and stabbed both students several times to their bodies.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, both injured students were rushed to hospital where Barnes was pronounced dead and the other student admitted.
Following investigations, the four boys were taken into custody on Tuesday morning.
