Jamaica News, Montego Bay: After 14 years as the Director of the massively successful Miss Global International Beauty Pageant Brand, Mr. Lachu Ramchandani is proud to announce that he is passing on the baton to his daughter, Neelam Ramchandani, cementing the family legacy as the trendsetter in the Jamaican Beauty Pageant industry.
Lachu Ramchandani OD JP, father to four children and a new grandfather to seven-month-old twin boys, this legendary Montego Bay Businessman has always maintained that his motto is “To live for others”. “It gives me a great satisfaction to entertain people. When they are happy that makes me happy,” said Ramchandani.
2018 is the first time since the pageant’s inception in 2004, that Miss Global International will not have a staging. The pageant will take a one year break to allow the self-proclaimed workaholic a chance to spend time with and enjoy one of his biggest motivators: His family. In addition, the one-year hiatus will allow time to properly organize next year’s pageant which is slated to be one of the biggest stagings Jamaica has very seen.
The family will continue serving the community and giving back to Jamaica’s tourism industry by connecting the world thru beauty and tourism as Neelam Ramchandani takes full responsibility for spearheading the 2019 show. Neelam is no stranger to the beauty industry and receives strong mentorship from her father who has full confidence in his daughter’s abilities.
“Neelam is already doing an excellent job, as a matter of fact, for the past two months many nights she is up until 3:00 a.m. working on the pageant confirming participants from Austria, India, and Suriname etc. she had confirmed a number of countries already and we have well over a year left to plan. The return of Miss Global International will be something to behold and we are proud to have it right here in Jamaica.” Said Ramchandani.
