Grammy Award Winning Artiste Koffee has recently released another track titled Pressure.
Produced by Ryan Bailey, it launches as a Target Embargo on BBC Radio 1Xtra as well as being Annie Mac’s Hottest Record on Radio 1. Featuring trademark textured lyrics with a realistic lens of the world, the song’s message again is one of positivity.
In just one day, Pressure has accumulated 584,000 views on YouTube.
This single follows the release of Lockdown, which has gained much recognition from Jamaicans and other foreign nationals. Some have even dubbed it the “official 2020 summer song”.
In an official press release shared with McKoy’s News, Koffee’s PR team shared how innovative she has been since the coronavirus pandemic tampered with her previous plans.
“Due to the global outbreak of Covid-19, a string of international shows had to be
postponed/cancelled including supporting Harry Styles for his worldwide tour. However, Koffee took part in One Big Weekend in May appearing on the BBC 1Xtra stage and some of her Glastonbury debut was aired in the BBC’s coverage of this year’s festival,” the release read in part.
Born Mikayla Simpson, Koffee is from Spanish Town. She is the youngest Jamaican solo act nominated for Best Reggae Album, for her EP Rapture. It was released on March 14, 2019, on the Columbia Records UK label.
