Jamaica News: The privately owned long-haul bus company, Knutsford Express has suffered major losses for the June to August 2020 quarter, mainly to do with COVID-19.
The COVID restrictions came on top of previous difficulties with the company brought on by the State of Emergency and traffic checks on its routes. Even though some restrictions have been eased, Knutsford’s schedules are still below what they were a year ago.
Knutsford’s revenues fell 62.5 percent to $121 million from $324 million, for the quarter a year prior. Knutsford said the quarter was the worst in its history. It also suffered a loss for the quarter, compared to 2019.
