Latest Jamaica News, Kingston (McKoy’s News): The Elleston Road Police have commenced an investigation surrounding the death of an infant who was found dead in Royal Harbour, Kingston, on Thursday afternoon, after being reported missing on Tuesday.
He has been identified as 8-year-old Galen Buchanan of a Spanish Town Road address in Kingston.
Reports by the police are that relatives of the small boy reported him missing on Tuesday, January 21, about 5: 00 p.m.
A search was launched for him which proved futile, then on Thursday about 3:15 p.m., residents stumbled upon his body at a section of Burmouth Gardens in Royal Harbour, Royal Palm and summoned the police.
Upon the arrival of the lawmen, the child was discovered lying in bushes with wounds to his body, and his hand bound behind his back.
Allegations are that Nick’s mother ended a very violent relationship with Omar Brown, the prime suspect. Brown reportedly destroyed everything in the home he shared with Nick’s mother before he lured the boy away from his father’s home by promising him ice cream.
An alarm was raised and he was reported as being kidnapped to the police. However, sources have said that the police were slow to act and as a result, a search was launched by family and friends.
