Jamaica News, April 17, 2018 – Kingston Man Succumbs to Gunshot Wounds

 Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A man who was shot and injured by gunmen at his home in East Kingston on April 15, succumb to gunshot wounds at hospital on Monday, April 17.

Dead is Owen Riverside, 34-year-old laborer of Nine Miles in Kingston.

Reports are that shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Riverside was at his home in Nine Miles when he heard loud noises on the outside. He looked outside and saw three armed men setting fire to his board dwelling house.

It is further reported that the men managed to set fire to a section of the house, and upon seeing that he was about to be burnt alive, Riverside ran from the dwelling and was shot multiple times by the gunmen.

The gunmen made their escape on foot in the area, meanwhile residents alerted the Elletson police and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
