Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: The police in Kingston say they have now taken one man into custody in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm in the parish on Wednesday afternoon, May 23.

Investigators further pointed out that, the accused will be dragged before a series of identification parades so they are not prepared to release his name at this time.

Reports are that, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, the police carried out an operation at a premises located at Mona Common in Kingston 7.

During the search of a house, the AK-47 rifle was discovered.

The accused was arrested and subsequently charged.
