The couple revealed their secrets to their healthy sex life on SiriusXM’s “Quarantined with Bruce.”
“I think we found each other at the right time in our lives,” Ripa told host Bruce Bozzi. “We were really young, not that that’s the right time in somebody’s life, but we were really like, pliable, right? Like we were pliable to each other. We really, like, learned — we learned each other well and so with that comes a certain level of comfort and confidence and experimentation and just fun like we have fun.”
Consuelos added that she “checks off all the boxes for [him].”
The duo also noted on the radio show that the longest they went without sex was when Conseulos was in Australia for seven months, but Ripa came to visit him in the middle of his trip.
Ripa, 49, and Consuelos, 49, tied the knot in 1996. They share three children, Lola, 18, Michael, 22, and Joaquin, 17. The family is currently quarantining together, with Ripa revealing on a recent episode of “Live With Kelly and Ryan” that the extended time under the same roof hasn’t been the best for their relationship.
Conseulos joked that his longest stretch without sex was “seventeen and a half years,” saying that once he lost his virginity, he hasn’t stopped getting it on.
Meanwhile, their friend Andy Cohen, who was also on the show, revealed that this time period is the longest that he’s gone without sex “since college.”
