Jamaica Sports News: An outstanding all round performance from thirteen year old Jordan Johnson, led Lucas to an impressive 563-run win over Kingston, in the opening round of matches of the Kingston wharves under-15 cricket competition.
When Lucas batted, Johnson smashed the ball to all parts of his home ground in Rollington Town, on his way to a record 325 runs.
His knock along with 52 from Michael Clarke and Steven Wedderburn’s 50, enabled Lucas to pile up 578 for 5, from their allotted 40 overs.
Matthew Johnson 2 for 116 and Nicoli McKenzie 2 for 118, were the best of the Kingston bowlers.
Kingston was hapless in reply and was dismissed for a mere 15 runs. This was due to some good bowling from triple century maker Jordon Johnson who claimed 6 wickets for 6 runs and Michael Clarke who finished with 3 for 6.
