Clarendon, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Joint Military Team Seized Two Illegal Firearms: a joint military operation carried out on Saturday afternoon of February 17, at a section of May Pen in Clarendon led to the seizure of two illegal firearms which includes an M-16 rifle and several rounds of ammunition.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.

Reports are that shortly after 12:43 p.m., on Saturday,  a joint military team were carrying out operations at a section of May Pen known as Sevens Plantation.

On reaching the vicinity of an abandoned building they saw a group of men.  Upon seeing the lawmen approaching, the men opened fire on the patrol.

The fire was returned and the gunmen were seen making their escape in bushes on foot. The police then carried out a search of the abandoned building where they discovered an M-16 Assault Rifle with an empty magazine, and a black and silver Glock pistol loaded with 10 live .40.

A  Blue Ballistic vest was also found at the scene.
