Jamaica Crime News, Montego Bay: As the State of Emergency comes to an end in the parish of St James, at midnight, Thursday,  January 31, 2019, the security forces are assuring citizens and stakeholders that they will continue to maintain a strong presence in the parish.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Clifford Blake and Colonel Radgh Mason of the Jamaica Defence Force, had a high-level meeting on Thursday morning to discuss the joint efforts needed to keep the residents safe, as the State of Emergency lifts.

“Citizens are now being assured that heightened operational activities will continue to mitigate against any erosion gain made over the last year,” said DCP Blake.

“Additional resources will be deployed to support the security forces within the parish”.
